No worries, mate

We are used to hearing this most of the time, whenever we say Thank You to anyone. We never heard welcome except for once at a restaurant where we asked for an extra plate. We were busy talking amongst ourselves, as the waiter kept the plate and we didn't say anthing to him. The next moment loud and clear, he said "You are welcome". Saab ki phaat li, and everyone went silent, for a while.

Everything is big about the people here. Body, muscles, height. And everyone seems fit. Only one feature is low, the pitch of men's voices, which makes them sound more manly, I feel. People here are fashionable too. Especially ladies. The most striking thing is the boots, black, often upto the knees, and they make a crisp noise as ladies walk past. Whew!

A lot of body piercings as well (mostly in silver) . At obscure places anwhere on the face as if randomly chosen. Both for men and women. Hair colour, well, there is almost no colour in the spectrum left for me to see in the hairs of the people here. Blue, Green, Pink, whatever. Tricolour, tetracolour and even pentacolour. But somehow these seem to suit them pretty well.

The people, as expected, often exhibit affection in public. The pure blood Aussies have a great sense of humour as well, which I think. Almost every statement they make have some fun element

One of the customs which I didn't appreciate is the practice of wiping everything off, whether it be the hands and mouth after eating or be it you-know-what.
